Oak House: More Than Just a Children’s Home
Oak House is not simply a placement – it’s a relational environment built around recovery and connection.
Our focus isn’t on “fixing” children. Instead, we prioritise understanding them, supporting them, and empowering them to rediscover their own strengths. We look beyond the behaviour to see the child underneath – their story, their potential, and their worth.
We believe in them, often before they can believe in themselves. And we remain consistent and present, even when trust is tested – because that’s where real, lasting change begins. This is what sets our model apart – not just in theory, but in meaningful, measurable impact.

Oak House is the first home established by Acacia Therapy Homes Ltd, created with a vision to offer more than just a place to live — we offer a real home. Set in a spacious, welcoming environment, Oak House is designed to combine comfort, privacy, and a strong sense of belonging. It’s a place where children and young people can be part of a caring family setting, with the freedom to express themselves and participate in day-to-day life as valued individuals.
Oak House provides accommodation for one child, aged between 7 and 17, offering a highly personalised, 2:1 approach to care. We specialise in supporting children who have experienced significant trauma, neglect, maltreatment, or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
To ensure the highest standards of safety and relational support, we have a fully trained in-house PRICE instructor, enabling our entire team to remain up to date with best practice in de-escalation, risk reduction, and trauma-informed physical intervention strategies.
